Bi-monthly Mental Break (a.k.a. Rant)

Every couple months, I feel like I need to reorganize and re-plan my academic career. Usually this just involved making sure that I’m taking the classes I need to and reworking my 4-year plan to make sure I can graduate on time.

But this time I decided that I don’t want to major in business. I’m still majoring in Psychology. Looking at the psychology classes that I have to take makes me so excited. I can’t wait to take them! But looking at all the business classes, I really don’t feel the same excitement. So I dropped my second major.

Then I decided that communications would be a great combination with psychology. I went and talked to the head of the department, and it seems like something I really do want to do. But know, I need to figure out if I want to major in it, or minor in it. If I majored in it, I would want the relational communication concentration. It has a lot of psychology classes in it, so I’m already halfway done with it, but I still have all the other classes to take.

So basically, if I major in communications, I have 39 more credit hours that I have to take. If I minor in it, I only have 24 more hours. I don’t know which one will be more worth it in the long run…

:/
